Free Download to correct median and per capita calculation errors for the Neighborhood Change Database Long Form Release -- February 2005
If you purchased the Neighborhood Change Database Long Form Release, you can now download a free upgrade that addresses problems with calculating medians and per capita income for normalized variables in 1980 and 1990. The variables that are being corrected are only normalized variables in 2000 boundaries. The non-normalized data (original census data) is correct and is not included in the update.
This upgrade is not available for the Short Form Release. If you purchased the Neighborhood Change Database Short Form Release, you should upgrade to the Long Form Release, which includes the 2000 Long Form data and several product upgrades. Please call us at 1-800-577-6717 if you would like to purchase the upgrade to the Long Form Release.
Instructions for Downloading NCDB Version 2.0 Upgrade
- Click on the Free Download and save the zipped file to your hard drive
- Un-zip the file you downloaded called update.zip. It will give you two files: genrep.exe and u020.dac
- Copy the two files into your NCDB folder on your hard drive (or onto your server if you have a network version)
- Open your NCDB and you are ready to begin
